Position Description


Summary: Responsible for the safe, efficient operation and reliability of compressors, processing plant, measurement practices, and compliance with safety and environmental policies. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: o Inspects all aspects of operations within the area assigned. o Maintains work schedules and on call schedules for the area assigned. o Reviews daily reports for accuracy. o Makes callouts as needed to keep operation running and uninterrupted as much as possible. o Schedules pipeline pigging operations. o Reports all safety and environmental issues to Superintendent. o Understands and develops good safety habits. o Takes care of company vehicle and equipment. o Maintains a safe work environment. Dawns proper PPE for the task and set a good example for others. o Seeks out new ways of doing things. o Supports maintenance group with help where help can be utilized (i.e. running parts and having equipment ready for service and/or repair). o Develops the employees' skills to increase the areas operating performance, such as safety, environmental, regulatory, operations, maintenance, equipment, facilities, and team participation. o Keeps lines of communication open between direct reports and other company personnel. o Develops a cost effective approach to doing business. o Assures that all DOT records and inspection are current and up to date. o Helps out in other areas of the business as needed. o Reports all excessive downtime to appropriate people. o Completes appropriate documentation and paperwork. o Maintains Company vehicle in good operating condition. o Continues to look for better and more efficient ways of doing things. o Assists managing yearly budgets and capital projects. o Keeps safety in the forefront of every task performed.


Position Requirements


Education and/or Experience: o High School degree or equivalent. o Experienced in adjusting and making major repairs at Magic Circle Yard and associated equipment. o General knowledge of compressor stations, gathering system, and processing plant operations. o Working knowledge of mechanical equipment. o Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids, and high pressure systems. o Follows company policies, practices, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: o Good verbal and written communication skills. o Customer orientation. o Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group situation to other employees of the company and outside contractors. o Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals). o Apply common sense understanding to carry out day-to-day operation issues. o Be able to make quick and reasonable decisions in sometimes-adverse conditions. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: o Valid state operating license with a driving record insurable under company insurance policy. May work in a standing, sitting, lying down, crouched or kneeling position. o Routinely reacts to visual, aural and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work. o Regularly bends, stoops, moves from ground level to higher levels, raises/lifts from ground level a load up to 50 lbs., manually transports a load up to 75 lbs., and applies up to 150 foot pounds of torque. o Regularly gets into and out of vehicles and rides over rough roads. o Walks an average of 5 miles per day, up to 7 miles per day. o Candidates may be subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing requirements o Subject to overtime and call-outs.
